York Prizes’ journey started in March 2025, with our main goal being to give back to the local community and offer a fun way for people to get involved in giveaways nearby. We’ve all entered a national competition, or lottery, and rarely see results. This made me think; let’s lock this down more locally, giving prizes to local people as well as donating to charities nearby. We offer a small competition every few months, with limited entrants and low odds which in turn gives back to the community. What’s not to love?
It is our pleasure to donate 20% of all lottery ticket proceeds to our mission, which is, to give back to York and help our city prosper. Our August winner of the £100 Cash Prize draw, Matthew W, selected Yorkshire Cancer Research to donate to:
